Greater Chennai Corporation Tamil Nadu State Election Commission Polling Personnel 1 1 Formation of Committee for Scrutiny of Election Duty exemption applications - Orders Issued.

ORDER : Vide reference 1st cited , the Tamil Nadu Election Commission has announced the date of urban local body Elections and Model code of conduct is in force . It is stated that as per Rule 13 of TamilNadu Panchayats , Municipalities and Corporations ( Elections ) Rules , 2006 the District Election Officer is empowered to appoint any State Government or Central Government employee as Polling Personnel.

 In this regard , it is further stated that the total requirement of Polling Personnel for Chennai district is 30,000+ . It is further stated that the categories of employees for whom exemption can be given by the employer are as follows ,
