DIRECT RECRUITMENT OF
SECONDARY GRADE TEACHERS – 2016
NOTIFICATION
This is issued for Direct Recruitment of Secondary Grade
Teachers under Social Defence Department. It has been decided to
fill the following vacancies of Secondary Grade Teachers / House
Masters from the candidates who have been qualified in the Tamil
Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper – I Examination
conducted in 2012 and 2013 and found
in that Merit List.
The Director of Social Defence
Department vide Letter No.8706/A2/2016, dated 07.09.2016 &
21.09.2016 has informed that the Juvenile Justice Committee of
Hon’ble High Court of Madras constituted as per the orders of
Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in its report in W.P.No.6915 of 2015
has stated that appointment
of Secondary Grade Teachers to such schools should be done
forthwith.
Based on the observation of the Juvenile Justice Committee of
the Hon’ble High Court of Madras and as per G.O.Ms.No.65, Social
Welfare and Nutritious Meal Program
(SW8(2))
Department dated 19.08.2016 and also by the Director of Social
Defence Letter No. 8706/A2/2016, dated 07.09.2016 & 21.09.2016,
66 vacancies are to be filled for
the care and protection of Juveniles who are in conflict with law.

These
vacancies will be filled from the eligible qualified candidates in
TNTET – Paper – I for the Residential Schools under Social Defence
Department.
All the selections made as per
this Notification will be subject to the outcome of Special Leave
Petition (Civil) No.29245 / 2014 etc filed before the
Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
