The entrance examination for SBI clerks is conducted for recruitment and selection of candidates for clerical posts. The SBI is one of the prestigious and the largest public sector bank in India and huge number of candidates appears for the examination. The exam pattern is roughly divided into three sets. First phase is a preliminary written test occurring in selected cities over the country. This is followed by main exam of the candidates selected from the preliminary written examination. Final selection is based on performance of candidates during the test as well as overall presentation during the interview.

New SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2016
Phase 1: Preliminary Examination:
The online examination will be of total 100 marks and the duration of the test will be one hour. The objective-type questions are divided into three sections according to marks and questions and are as follows:

Main Exam: Candidates who found success in the preliminary online test and fulfill all eligibility criteria will be invited for main examination. The following is the complete detail about number of questions, marks and duration of main exam.
Phase 3:
Interview: Now as per the new amendments its all depend on the Government approval.
Final Selection:
The marks obtained in the preliminary examination will not be added for the selection and only the marks obtained in the main examination will be added to the marks obtained in interview for preparation of the final merit list.
