NON CONVENTIONAL SOURCE OF ENERGIES' ONE EXAMAPLE IS?

Energy generated by using wind, tides, solar, geothermal heat, and biomass including farm and animal waste as well as human excreta is known as non-conventional energy. All these sources are renewable or inexhaustible and do not cause environmental pollution. More over they do not require heavy expenditure.

    1. Wind Energy:

Wind power is harnessed by setting up a windmill which is used for pumping water, grinding grain and generating electricity. The gross wind power potential of India is estimated to be about 20,000 MW, wind power projects of 970 MW capacities were installed till March. 1998. Areas with constantly high speed preferably above 20 km per hour are well-suited for harnessing wind energy.

    2. Tidal Energy:

Sea water keeps on rising and falling alternatively twice a day under the influence of gravitational pull of moon and sun. This phenomenon is known as tides. It is estimated that India possesses 8000-9000 MW of tidal energy potential. The Gulf of Kuchchh is best suited for tidal energy.

    3. Solar Energy:

Sun is the source of all energy on the earth. It is most abundant, inexhaustible and universal source of energy. AH other sources of energy draw their strength from the sun. India is blessed with plenty of solar energy because most parts of the country receive bright sunshine throughout the year except a brief monsoon period. India has developed technology to use solar energy for cooking, water heating, water dissimilation, space heating, crop drying etc.

    4. Geo-Thermal Energy:

Geo-thermal energy is the heat of the earth's interior. This energy is manifested in the hot springs. India is not very rich in this source,

    5. Energy from Biomass:

Biomass refers to all plant material and animal excreta when considered as an energy source. Some important kinds of biomass are inferior wood, urban waste, bagasse, farm animal and human waste.

  50. ACCORDING TO THE ENGLISH GRAMMAR SELDOM IS A KEY WORD USED IN PRESENT TENSE. IN THIS SENSE THE ANSWER FOR THE QUESTION SHOULD BE :SELDOM ------------ OUR TEACHER COME LATE TO SCHOOL" HERE THE SUBJECT IS SINGULAR SO THE OPTIONS SUCH AS HAVE,DO ARE WRONG SINCE THEY ARE PLURAL FORMS. DID AND HAD ARE ALSO WRONG SINCE THEY APPEAR IN PAST TENSE. SO ALL THE OPTIONS ARE WRONG.

  63. dear sir the verbs written with singular subject should take singular form of the verb when we use present tense. look at the following example, He does his duty properly. and they do it correctly. in the above mentioned sentences we can which one is used with singular and which is with plural. we know well that "is was am" - singular in the same way does, has,- singular. are, were,do,have -plural. know well before you comment.

    1. C...frnd...u r correct....bt the fact is that....we won't consider do and have always plural....they r helping verbs it should be used according to the place....for example...when we mention first person we use these two words only(do,have)it doesn't matter singular or plural...in tet exam the question was...Seldom.............our teacher come late.here we can't say it is past tense...the sentence indicates the thing which takes place most often...bcz of the word "our"we should use do...the another reason for putting do is...that sentence mentions the habitual activity of the teacher....i hope u understand....

      Delete
    2. First of all just know one....auxiliaries are not only used according to singular plural...bt first person, second, third person...the last line u have written is not for others bt for u....

      Delete
  64. thank u friend you yourself admit that the given sentence is a habitual action. we must use only present tense to denote habitual action you know.though the option do is available over there, is is not the suitable one since the subject is third person singular(our teacher). it is very funny to see your reason that because of 'our' we must use do. its ultimately a wrong sense. our is a possessive adjective. we should consider the next word with our as a subject. such as 'our teacher' ........... now say our teacher is singular or plural. whether you use does our teacher or do our teacher?

    ReplyDelete
  65. C frnd once again u r confusing urslf....i never mention our is subject....the same time i didn't say that teacher is in plural form....but i mention it is habitual thing of course bt should understand one thing in habitual things we use "Do" form verbs only...amon them the do is the right one...there no need to see singular and plural as wel as present and past...i also wel know that habitual things are never be past as they take place...k frnd according to u ur should be does bt in my opinion it should be do...if the trb not accept the do...thn it automatically wil go for did...the reason is....they used the word come it will be.past tense when we add Did before it...bt am sure abt it does will nvr come...lets c frnd

    ReplyDelete
  66. Sorry frnd according to my knowledge do is correct does may be right to ur point of view....let c wht trb decides....may i know ur tet mark and major subject....
